Kathie Lee and Hoda Gain 100 Pounds on 'Today' (VIDEO)
by Donald Deane, posted Jun 3rd 2010 1:30PM
Using an iPhone app, Kathie Lee Gifford and Hoda Kotb alter photos of themselves to show what they'd look like after gaining 100 pounds on the fourth hour of 'Today' (weekdays, 7AM ET on NBC).Both Gifford and Kotb take turns virtually packing on weight, then display the disturbing results on-screen.
"Boy, that makes me want to put down those kettle chips," Kotb said.

Glad they find it amusing. Maybe next they can make fun of Downs Syndrome or Alopecia. Wasnt it these two just recently going without makeup to prove some point? I dont quite see what makes these two think they are so special that they can make fun of other peoples problems. Maybe they can make fun of women that stay with cheating husbands just for kicks.

You're too touchy. They are simply showing what the added pounds do. They are not doing this to make fun of anyone. And by the way, why would you compare weight gain to Downs Syndrome and alopecia? Please get a grip.

Who cares what your face looks like with an added fake 100 lbs.? It would be more effective to show the entire body and the health risks that would ensue. However my bottom line is WHY are these two women STILL hosting this show? It is an hour of pure misery. Each day I hate watching KLG more and more. She interrupts all the time and her singing is driving me crazy. As for Hoda, why is she wasting her journalistic talents on this show. Can someone at NBC find her something serious to do. PLEASE!!!!

I was wondering if they could demonstrate a frontal lobotomy on Ms. Gifford?

What are these clowns doing now, making fun of obesity are they? That's all you hear on the Today show...food, food, food, food, food. Diet stories, cooking experts, food this, food that. They are so afraid of their own weakness and the reality that they can become fat themselves that they obsess over the issue for hours on end, only pausing briefly for current news stories. They'd all be obese if it wasn't for their fingers being crammed down their throats. In the meantime they flaunt themselves as dieters, health nuts and food conscious. Damn bunch of over paid hypocrites if you ask me.

Let's see... what can we make fun of Kathy Lee Gifford... oh yeah, her lying, cheating husband and her nerdy son. Kathy, you have more to hide than any overweight woman. Keep putting yourself out there and we'll keep laughing.

You can make fun of her husband, but always leave children out of it

Amberlee, Cody is an adult. Do you think that it was possible that OBESE CHILDREN watched Kathie Lee and Hodas antics?? My friends daughter has epilepsy so bad, she's taking steroids and she's obese as a result. By the way, Cody is a nerd.

I always knew Kathy Lee was a jerk, but until now I had held out hope for Hoda. Now they just look stupid and immature making fun of a national epidemic. I hope someone has them make an apology for this gaff. What were they thinking? Oh right, you can't think without a brain.

I like watching these tv replays but I can not stand the commercials, so I loose interest quickly and don't watch them all

Hit refresh on your browser when the commercial starts, you can bypass them that way.

Gee, why don't Hoda and Kathy make fun of alcoholics? What about gamblers? Seems like that they had such a blast making fun of overweight people - why not add a few more in to it?
You are both disgusting. I expect this from Kathy but not Hoda.

What a pair of total dim wits... Having been born with genes which seem to have precluded any major weight probs, I've been able to maintain acceptable, according to med-sci, limits. However, I've lost a loved one who throughout her life struggle with weight issues-which contributed to her early demise. Moving right along, is this stuff what people really watch? Is this garbage what TV programming has devolved to? What idiots are they targeting. Mercifully, our family left off watching almost all network TV years ago~ what we view is what we select, documentaries, science, history, educational and films we select through instant viewing technology. Except for some CNN and MSNBC, both of which can get pretty anoying, our news comes from the global community through access on the internet. TV-sophomoric playing to the lowest most common and the immature..
